Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the US for more than forty years. Her most well-known role is because of her portrayal as Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s, beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions until she made it huge in the national theater area with Li'l abner's in 1957. The singer also released her debut album, titled It's Time to Tina that same year. Her first appearance into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's student. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. The actress signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to move between Broadway and Hollywood acting as a sombre character against her famous image as the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and as Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although in the last few years she's also earned her name as a director who has been successful in numerous well-known TV shows like Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 29th August in 1965. The family relocated to Toronto when she was three. She spent her childhood there as well as her adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and she has settled down there ever since.
